In 2000, the petunia became the official city flower of Winkler. The horticulture Society supports this flower by incorporating its extensive use in all community planting areas.
The society mass planted petunias along the Highway 14 entrances into Winkler in the summer 2004 to both promote its official flower and encourage tourism in the area. |
